The project designs the space in a way that creates self-talk” with the purpose of creating an ideal dining space for the “solitary eater”. The design of 23 Seats emphasizes the sense of ritual for one person’s eating, which is a link between food and space for communication. A free, open and inclusive dining environment is created here.
The seats for customers are arranged in the connection area between the meal preparation room and meal delivery area. While it ensures non-interfering of eating and serving, the space is also kept open and transparent.
